Francisco La Tempestad Lefebvre, one of the leading names not only in Kickboxing, but in martial arts and combat sports in Paraguay and throughout Latin America, is the newest member of the Legal Committee of WAKO Panam.
Francisco Javier Lefebvre Ramírez was born in Asunción, Paraguay, and walked two paths that now cross even more: academic training and martial arts. He graduated in “Banking and Finance” in 1998, “Sports Sciences” in 2009, and in “Law”, in 2021, with the title of “Best Graduate”. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in “General Procesal Law”, and “International Law and Business”. He also has training in the area of “Sports Law” and “Current Health and Safety Legislation” and is a Specialist in “Strength, Power and Speed”. He teaches “Personal Defense” classes for various government institutions, such as the Ministry of Justice, the Higher Institute of Police Studies, the School of Physical Education of the Armed Forces, and the National Anti-Drug Secretariat.
In martial arts, he began his story in 1986, when he joined Jiu Jitsu; he is the oldest (not the “one with more age”, as he insisted on emphasizing!) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner in Paraguay; and today, at the age of 49, he is a Black Belt in several combat sports: 4th Dan in Kickboxing, 7th Dan in Full Contact, 4th Dan in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, 4th Dan in Taekwondo, Muay Thai Master, Krav Maga instructor and Chief Master in MMA. He is now at the head of the “Lefebvre Academy”, dedicated to teaching combat sports, its philosophy and history, for over 15 years.
In Kickboxing, having withdrawn from professional competitions 4 years ago, he has a path paved by important victories, adding up to 63 fights, 55 wins, including 2 fights for the World Title: in Milan, in 2009, and in São Paulo, in the year de 2012.
The WAKO Panam family welcomes Lefebvre and supports him in the many endeavors he will be leading!
