WAKO Panam continues to work hard in the Pan-American Olympic plan

Last year was marked by significant actions by WAKO Panam with the official Olympic entities of our continent. We participated as official guests at the Panam Sports Assembly in Asunción, Paraguay, where our Vice President, Dario Alvarado, had the opportunity to represent our Confederation and hold key meetings with Baltazar Medina, President of ODEPO; Francisco Eduardo Lee, President of ACODEPA; Neven Ilic, President of Panam Sports; Camilo Pérez, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and ODESUR; and Renzo Mainare, President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee.

Additionally, we had an impressive official debut in the Pan-American Olympic competitive circuit during the Bolivarian Games in Ayacucho, Peru-2024, the bicentennial edition of the Bolivarian Revolution. Kickboxing was one of the standout sports, securing our confirmation for the Bolivarian Games 2025 in Ayacucho, Peru, and opening the door to the long-awaited participation in the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2027.

Beyond these concrete achievements, in 2025, we have real opportunities to participate in the Central American Games in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and the Pan-American Junior Games in Asunción, Paraguay. We are also paving the way for the South American Senior Games in Corrientes, Argentina. But we are not stopping here; in recent weeks, we held important meetings and officially submitted:

- A letter to the Peruvian Olympic Committee requesting participation in the Bolivarian Games 2025 and the Pan-American Games 2027.
- A letter to ODESUR requesting participation in the Pan-American Junior Games in Asunción, Paraguay.
- A letter to ACODEPA (Association of Pan-American Sports Confederations) requesting WAKO Panam's affiliation, a mandatory requirement for our Confederation to officially participate in events and affiliate with Panam Sports.

We continue advancing and building an even stronger future for all our members.
For a united and strong Panam.
